The saying "Allahumma salli wa sallim ala Muhammad (O Allah, bestow Your prayers and peace upon Muhammad)" is a correct formula for attaining the virtue of sending prayers and peace upon the Prophet. However, the most complete form for this is the al-Ibrahimiyyah (Ibrahimic Prayers).
