The answer

The testicles are the two gonads. Jurists have differed on the ruling of eating them from a ritually slaughtered animal. Some have gone to the permissibility, others to the dislike (karahah), and yet others to the prohibition, based on a whose chain of transmission is not authentic, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, regarding the dislike of seven things from a sheep, among them the testicles. It has been narrated from the Hanafis that they prohibit seven parts, including the penis and the testicles, and it is said that their dislike is tanzīhī (mildly disliked). Meanwhile, the Malikis consider it undesirable to eat ten things, including the testicles, and the Hanbalis dislike eating the gland and the ear of the heart (aorta).
