What is the meaning of the ambiguous Hadith in the Noble Prophetic Tradition?

An ambiguous hadith (definition) is one in whose chain of narration (sanad) or text (matn) there is a man or woman who is not named, but rather referred to by a general term. It is of two types: ambiguity in the chain, such as saying: "from a man," and ambiguity in the text, such as saying: "Indeed, a man asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him." Ambiguity in the chain of narration weakens the hadith if the person is not known, but it does not harm the text. The ambiguity of the Companions in the chain does not cause harm due to their uprightness.
