What is the meaning of the supplications mentioned in the prostration of recitation (sujud at-tilawah), such as "My face has prostrated to the One who created it and proportioned it, and who split its hearing and sight by His power and might. Blessed be Allah, the Best of Creators," and "And accept it from me, just as You accepted it from Your servant Dawud (peace be upon him)"?

It is recommended in the prostration of recitation (Sujud (definition) at-Tilawah) to say: "My face has prostrated to the One Who created it, and fashioned its hearing and sight, by His might and power," as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to say. It is also recommended to say: "O Allah, record for me by it a reward with You, and remove from me by it a burden, and make it for me a treasure with You, and accept it from me as You accepted it from Your servant Dawud," as narrated in the hadith (definition) of Ibn Abbas concerning the prostration of the tree and the Prophet's, peace and blessings be upon him, saying something similar.
