If a woman sees pink blood after thirteen days or more from the cessation of her previous menstruation, it is a new menstrual period. What she saw during that time is considered menstruation because the total duration does not exceed fifteen days, which is the maximum duration for menstruation. The three days interspersed within the menstruation are considered a valid period of purity (tuhur sahih (definition)), and she is not required to re-perform the prayers she missed during these days. This blood is not considered irregular bleeding (dam fasad) unless it is seen at a time when it is not suitable for menstruation. Seeing it outside of her usual cycle does not prevent it from being considered menstruation.
