What is the ruling on clear, watery discharge resembling drinking water that occurs a day or two before the menstrual period, and this is unaccustomed?

If the clear water that precedes menstruation is not tinged with yellowness or turbidity, then it is from the secretions of the uterus and the wetness of the vagina, and is not considered menstruation. Rather, it only nullifies ablution. However, if it is tinged with yellowness or turbidity during the time of menstruation, along with its signs, then it is menstruation. But if the yellowish or turbid discharge comes down before the time of menstruation, then it is istihadah (definition) (irregular vaginal bleeding).
