Is it permissible for a menstruating woman and a person in a state of major ritual impurity (junub) to recite the Quran for memorization, knowing that she does not experience purity until after 13 days due to health conditions that prevent her from seeking treatment? And are all these days considered menstruation, or is she obligated to pray?

According to the Maliki school of thought, it is permissible for a menstruating woman to recite the Quran. It is preferable, however, for her to perform ghusl (definition) to remove janabah (definition) (ritual impurity), even if menstrual bleeding persists. The entire duration in which blood is observed is considered menstruation, as long as it occurs within a period suitable for menstruation.
