What is the well-known disagreement regarding the Hadith: "Do not be hasty...", and does the fact that the Hadith: "We used not to consider yellowness and turbidity as anything" is more authenticated without an addition, and the existence of disagreement regarding the Hadith: "Do not be hasty," mean that yellowness and turbidity are not menstruation?

What was said about Aishah, may Allah be pleased with her, is a statement from a Companion, and there is a jurisprudential dispute about whether it constitutes proof or not. Those who do not consider the statement of a Companion as proof do not see this statement as a proof. This does not mean that yellowish or brownish discharge is absolutely not menstruation. Rather, we explain the viewpoint of those who hold that opinion. Yellowish and brownish discharge, if connected to blood, is menstruation, based on the hadith (definition) of Umm Atiyyah and the saying of Aishah. The issue is one of scholarly disagreement, and a layperson should follow whoever he trusts.
