The answer

The majority of scholars hold that a conditional divorce takes effect if the condition upon which it is suspended is met, and this is the most preponderant opinion. So, if the condition upon which you suspended your wife's divorce has been met, then the divorce has occurred according to the majority. You can take her back before the expiration of her (waiting period) if this divorce does not complete the three divorces. Her iddah ends upon purification from the third menstruation after the divorce, or upon delivery if she is pregnant, or after the passage of three months if she does not menstruate. Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah held that an expiation for an oath (kaffarat ) is required if the intention behind the suspension was not divorce but rather a threat or a prevention.
