What is the ruling on playing religious recordings (Qur’an or Hadith) for callers on hold during phone calls that may involve both seriousness and jest?

This action is unlawful and may lead to insulting the Qur’an and the Sunnah (definition), as the Qur’an and the Sunnah must be respected and not mixed with jest and playfulness. Rather, the recitation of the Qur’an is for worship and pondering its meanings, and the narrations of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, are for understanding the rulings of the Sharia (definition).
