Is it permissible, from an Islamic perspective, for a secretary to sign on behalf of absent employees—with the intention of helping them and preventing them from being held accountable, knowing that all employees perform their duties perfectly and their absence does not cause any harm to the work?

The answer

Employees are subject to the rulings of a private contractor, and they must abide by the contract and be present during the agreed-upon working hours. It is not permissible to sign on behalf of absent individuals without permission; otherwise, it would be participation in a sin.
