Is it permissible to delay or leave work early at a healthcare facility due to a lack of work or other employees, and to be present with only one colleague, and what are the consequences of that?

A delay by an employee in starting work or leaving before the end of working hours, under the pretext of a lack of work, as well as the coordination of work among employees such that some attend and others are absent, is not permissible except with the permission of the employer. The employee must adhere to working hours, and it is not permissible for him to emulate those who violate this. As for a female employee remaining alone with her male colleague in the office, it is not permissible if suspicion cannot be avoided, because it is an unlawful seclusion (khalwa (definition) muharrama). The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade it, saying: "Behold, no man secludes himself with a woman but the third of them is Satan." In this situation, the woman should leave the place and can inform the employer to resolve the issue.
