The answer

The employee is a trusted agent who is only liable for transgression or negligence. If the shop owner did not authorize him to sell with post-dated checks, then the employee is liable for the goods, and his sale is invalid. If the owner authorized him to sell on credit for amounts not exceeding one thousand dirhams, but he sold for more and the customer did not pay, the employee is liable for the amount exceeding one thousand. If the employee is liable, he guarantees the goods by providing the shop owner with an equivalent item or paying its value, and he should strive to know what goods he sold to clear his liability.
