The answer

It is not permissible for you to undertake a contract for yourself from among the contracts that you were entrusted with offering and selecting the executor for, even if you did not favor yourself in pricing, unless with the permission of the responsible authority. This is because you are responsible for accepting the work, supervising it, and following up on it. Thus, in its contract, two conflicting objectives converge for you: seeking a low price for yourself and meticulousness for the client.

Similarly, the commissions given by contractors after completing their work are not yours to take for yourself without permission from your employer. If permission is granted, then that is excellent; otherwise, you are obligated to hand them over to your employer, based on the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, regarding a worker to whom a gift was given: "Why did he not sit in the house of his father or the house of his mother and see if he would be given a gift or not?"
