What is the ruling on a female teacher working in a remote village 70 km away, which requires walking 4 km on foot, given security concerns, the absence of her two colleagues, and the incompleteness of the curriculum, bearing in mind her parents' refusal for her to leave the job, and her desire to teach religious matters to the village children?

A woman's work in distant mixed-gender environments is not permissible except out of necessity. If there is no necessity, then one should not obey parents in continuing to work; rather, one must prioritize obedience to Allah. This is further affirmed if there is fear of dangers associated with commuting to work. There is no sin upon you for not completing the curriculum if it was due to a student strike. Programs specified by the employer must be completed if they are permissible. Beneficial knowledge includes all knowledge, foremost among which is knowledge of Sharia (definition), as well as sciences like medicine and engineering, etc. A person is rewarded for seeking and teaching such knowledge if it is intended for the sake of Allah. The need of remote villages for education is a reality, and able-bodied men should undertake the travel for it, or women may temporarily reside in those villages for the purpose of teaching, bearing in mind the activity of female missionaries in Africa.
