Is it permissible to benefit from health insurance provided by the employer in exchange for deducting a portion of the salary, with the possibility of its cancellation and the resulting damages?
Commercial insurance is fundamentally prohibited due to its inclusion of (excessive uncertainty), qimar (gambling), and unlawful appropriation of people's wealth, based on the Almighty's saying: "O you who have believed, indeed intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone altars [to other than Allah], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful" (Quran 5:90), and His saying: "Do not consume one another's property wrongfully" (Quran 2:188). A person may be excused for participating in it under specific circumstances; otherwise, voluntary participation is not permissible, and the mere fear of future harm does not permit it.
