Is it permissible to work in the accounting department of a company that manages restaurants selling alcohol, knowing that the department is separate from the restaurants and there is no other job available with the same good salary?

Selling and serving alcohol are among the gravest prohibitions, as stated in the hadith (definition): "Allah has cursed alcohol, its drinker, its server, its seller, its buyer, its presser, the one for whom it is pressed, its carrier, the one to whom it is carried, and the one who consumes its price." It is forbidden to assist anyone who sells or serves it in any way, even by working as an accountant, due to the generality of Allah's saying: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression."
