What the wife earns from her work is her exclusive right, and it is not permissible for the husband to take it except with her permission, or if custom dictates it, or if they both agree upon it. The husband is obligated to spend on her, and he does not have the right to force her to quit her job if he had agreed to it and it fulfilled the Sharia (definition) conditions. The sister is encouraged to waive some of her right to maintain the stability of her marital life, and the husband is advised not to wrong his wife by taking her money or forcing her to spend, and for the Quran and Sunnah (definition) to be the regulators of their relationship.
