The answer

The husband has no right to his wife's money unless she gives it to him willingly, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The property of a Muslim person is not lawful [to take] except with his willing consent." The husband's effort in finding his wife a job does not permit him to take a portion of her salary without her consent, unless he had stipulated that to her beforehand. Marital life should be based on tolerance and good companionship, with each party fulfilling their duty, and Allah Almighty says: "And do not forget graciousness between you." A woman's work is permissible as long as it does not lead to something forbidden, such as unlawful mixing [between genders].
