Is it permissible for me to break my fast in Ramadan and make up for it later, due to excessive hardship at work?

A believer is obligated to fast during Ramadan (definition). If their work is arduous, they should lighten their load by working at a suitable time, such as early in the day, and then desist from strenuous labor to complete their fast. Fasting has been enjoined and is one of the five pillars of Islam. Every Muslim man and woman must fast this month and beware of anything that hinders it. A believer can schedule their work at night or early in the day to avoid the hardship of working in the middle of the day. The obligation is to combine fasting and work in a manner that causes no harm, and breaking the fast is not permissible.
