And is there sin incurred for what occurred in the aforementioned case of intercession, and what is the correct procedure in such situations?

The answer

There is no harm in working in the aforementioned job as long as you are proficient in it. The sin of mediation falls solely upon the one who performs it. The presence of obstacles is not an indication that the job is not good, for what matters is the outcome.
