Is what the company's owners are doing, which is imitating another company they work for, with the intention of leaving their current employment should their own company succeed, haram or halal, and is it permissible for the questioner to continue working with them?

There is no objection to the youth opening their own private company and competing with the first company, importing goods, and selling them, as long as there is no impediment such as import exclusivity. They are also permitted to leave their employment with the first company after their contract expires. As for using a logo similar to the company's logo, this is impermissible because it is an infringement upon a protected intellectual property right. If the change in the logo is not sufficient to differentiate between the two logos according to the law, and the company does not grant permission, then it is not permissible to keep it. As for the questioner, there is no objection to her remaining with the company, and she should advise her colleagues by presenting them with the fatwa (definition).
