It is not permissible to work in advertising and promoting forbidden things such as cigarettes, shisha, and what is used in them. The Permanent Committee has issued a stating that it is not permissible to work for companies that manufacture or promote tobacco or advertise for it, and that the salary resulting from this work is unlawful because it constitutes cooperation in sin and aggression. The one who engages in such work must repent, abandon this work, and seek lawful earnings.
