The answer

There is no objection to the hospital charging fees for the services and procedures it provides, such as doctor's consultations or lab tests. However, charging fees merely for enabling a visit to a patient is impermissible and considered illicit gain (suht), falling under the category of unjust levies (mukus). Working in ticket collection is permissible if the imposition of the fee is permissible, and prohibited if its imposition is prohibited, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: ﴿And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression.﴾
