The answer

Whoever wishes to sponsor an orphan or deliver good to a deserving person, must investigate and exert effort to ensure the money reaches its rightful recipient. If the money reaches its rightful recipient, he will be rewarded. If it does not reach its rightful recipient but reaches an undeserving person, he will still be rewarded for the charity. However, the reward for sponsoring an orphan is not achieved unless the act is completed, though he will be rewarded for his intention. Sincerity and devotion have a significant impact on multiplying rewards.
