Who May Receive Zakat
- Should owners of private companies pay Zakat to the state, or should they distribute it themselves, knowing that they are accustomed to paying it to those in need?
- Is a divorced sister, who is supported by her father of limited income, and who has no source of livelihood other than what remains of her ex-husband's money for her children, eligible to receive Zakat?
- Is it permissible to count the amount paid as a loan to a poor person from a vow or zakat? Is this person considered eligible for them? And does not remembering the exact wording of the vow permit paying its value in cash?
- Is monthly spending on siblings and covering their living expenses and housing costs, due to the father's insufficient income to complete their studies, considered zakat for saved gold?
- Is it permissible to give the building's doorkeeper, who was promised charity, a portion of the Zakat after the year has passed, to help him bring his wife and rent accommodation for her?
- Is Zakat or Sadaqat obligatory upon a person who is required to pay rent for government housing for two years after his service was extended under a clause that does not include housing, knowing that he does not possess money in the country where he works, but he owns real estate and agricultural land in his home country, and he has not been officially notified of vacating the housing or of the obligation to pay rent in advance?
- How is Zakat to be paid on money mixed with the wife's money that has not yet completed its hawl (one year of possession), given the inability to distinguish between the two? Is it permissible to give it to a maternal aunt whose husband and father have passed away, and to her orphaned daughter, or to orphanages? Which is better?
- Is it permissible to pay Zakat for the education of a 12-year-old physically disabled girl who has never attended a public school because she is not a Saudi national, and her family cannot enroll her in a private school because the family is eligible to receive Zakat?
- Is zakat obligatory on money derived from the rent of agricultural land, paid in full in the tenth or eleventh month of the cultivated year? And is the hawl (one year) calculated from the day of payment? And is zakat obligatory on someone who owns one to six qirats and a water buffalo?
- Is it permissible to give zakat to a family whose financial situation is weak and has an income, but is going through financial hardship and needs money for medical treatment, knowing that if they take a loan, they can repay the amount later?
- Is it permissible to count the money lent to two people for building their homes as Zakat on wealth when the Zakat is due, knowing that the intention was made for this at the time the money was handed over, and without informing the debtors beforehand, then informing them later of their exemption from the debt at the time of paying Zakat?
- To what extent are the claims of people in Transoxiana that they are descendants of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, valid? And should they be believed and treated accordingly, and what is their status in Islam?
- Is it permissible to seek help from people to pay off a housing debt, in light of an inability to work?
- Is it permissible to give zakat to a wife who is experiencing difficult circumstances because her husband is mentally ill and possesses wealth, but she does not have the expenses for his treatment and desires shelter for herself and her son due to the husband's threats and his family's greed? And is it permissible to give zakat to her son who is a student?
- Is it necessary to verbally authorize the husband to pay Zakat, and is anything required for not having authorized him previously?

- Is it permissible for a son to give a quarter of his salary from his Zakat to his indebted father, and is it permissible for the indebted father to take Zakat to pay off his debt?
- Is it permissible to count what is spent on the fiancée and her sister from zakat money before marriage, and does the fiancée's purchase of a gift for the son from this money affect the reward of the zakat? Is it obligatory to accept the return of the amount if the two eligible recipients no longer need it, and do the son or father sin by helping the fiancée's sister seek divorce from her ill-tempered husband?
- Is it permissible for a mother to give her Zakat al-mal to her divorced daughter to pay off her debt, knowing that the daughter works but her salary is not enough for her and her daughters?
- Am I entitled to receive financial assistance from the government or from Zakat/Sadaqah, and is it permissible for me to submit a report of psychological disability, given my suffering from demonic possession that causes auditory and visual hallucinations and affects my ability to work and engage in social interaction, despite my commitment to ruqyah (Islamic exorcism) and adhkar (remembrance of Allah)?
- Is it permissible to give zakat to a man who is a family provider whose income is just enough for his living expenses, and he does not own his own home (he lives in his wife's house), and he has some debts?
