The answer

The obligation of is established by the Quran, , and scholarly consensus (Ijma'), and it is an act of worship whose prohibition cannot be interpreted. The questioner's statement, "How can I pay Zakat when no one gave me their Zakat when we were in need?" is a corrupt interpretation and a flimsy argument. Zakat is an act of worship, not a reward. Withholding it deprives the poor. It is more fitting for him to hasten its payment, as it is a pillar of Islam, and withholding it is a major sin. Moreover, Zakat leads to the growth of wealth and is an expression of gratitude to Allah.
