The aforementioned parents, who are in need of repaying debts and essential maintenance, may receive , as they are considered gharimin (those in debt). It is also permissible to give them from expiations if the son is unable to provide for their expenses. However, hiring the mother to foster children is contrary to filial piety, and children are commanded to revere her. It is not permissible for children to consume from what they have given their mother as charity.
