What is the ruling on paying the costs of a woman's stay in a nursing home from the zakat and sadaqa funds she saves, knowing that she is not eligible to receive zakat due to her possession of these savings?

Zakat (definition) is paid to the eight categories mentioned in the verse of Surat At-Tawbah (definition). If the woman possesses what suffices her for a year, she is considered wealthy, and Zakat is not given to her. Rather, Zakat becomes obligatory on her wealth that reaches the nisab (definition) and on which a year has passed, even if she is not of sound mind. If she then becomes in need, it is permissible for her nephews to give her Zakat from their wealth, as she is their paternal aunt, and charity given to a relative is both charity and strengthening of kinship ties.
