Is it permissible to continue giving zakat to a poor person who has come to possess the zakat threshold (nisab) from zakat money itself?

There is no disagreement among scholars that the wealthy are not eligible for zakat (definition), as it is intended for the poor and the needy. Jurists have differed on the definition of wealth that prevents one from receiving zakat: some defined it as possessing sufficiency, and whoever does not possess it is eligible for zakat even if he owns a nisab (definition). Others defined it as owning a nisab.
