The answer

A wife is not entitled to object to her husband maintaining ties with his siblings and their children through money and gifts, as long as he is fulfilling his duty to provide for his wife and children with the obligatory maintenance. It is advisable to explain to her the virtue of maintaining kinship ties, and that it is a source of blessing in one's life and provision, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever wishes that his provision be expanded for him, or his life span be prolonged, let him maintain ties of kinship." It is wise to conceal this kindness from the wife as much as possible. There is no objection to balancing your kindness to your relatives with your keenness to save money for legitimate purposes.
