Does the monthly amount sent to a nephew compensate for zakat, and is it considered zakat for money that has been held for a year?

It is permissible to give zakat (definition) to a poor nephew who does not have enough to sustain himself and is unable to earn a living, and there is no one obligated to support him. He is more deserving of it than others, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Charity given to a relative is both charity and upholding ties of kinship." A condition for the zakat to be valid is the intention of zakat when giving the money to him. If the money is given to him without the intention of zakat, it is not permissible to count it as zakat after it has been disbursed, based on the Prophet's saying, peace and blessings be upon him: "Indeed, actions are by intentions."
