Is it permissible to give money, zakat, or anything to a Sayyid?

The idea that there are masters or saints whom Allah has singled out with a special grace not granted to other human beings is a Majusi (Zoroastrian) concept that infiltrated Muslims through the Rafidite Shia and some deviant Sufi groups. This is clear misguidance. The truth is that Zakat (definition) is given to its eight categories as mentioned in the Holy Qur'an, and it is better for a Muslim to distribute it himself or through someone he trusts in their religiosity and trustworthiness. It is not permissible to give Zakat to these so-called masters, because that would be assisting them in promoting their false doctrine.
