Is it permissible to pay zakat money for the purpose of constructing a wooden kitchen, equivalent to the value of the zakat, for a needy widow who supports orphans and is preparing her daughter for marriage?

It is permissible to give Zakat (definition) to equip a poor girl who cannot marry except by means of it, provided there is no extravagance. The majority of scholars hold that Zakat must be paid in cash, as they believe this is more cautious and absolves one's responsibility, allowing the girl to dispose of the money as she deems beneficial for herself.
