The answer

is obligatory on money saved to buy a house if it reaches the (the equivalent of 85 grams of gold) and one lunar year has passed over it. The zakat on the money is 2.5% (a quarter of a tenth). If a lunar year has not passed over it, there is no zakat on it. What is taken out of it for trade does not decrease the nisab if the money, along with the value of the trade goods, reaches the nisab.
