Is zakat obligatory on orphans' money under the guardianship of the eldest brother, and is giving their mother two-thirds of their inheritance to buy a villa considered a breach of trust?

The guardian must preserve and grow the wealth of those under their guardianship and pay its Zakat (definition). If the guardian is wealthy, it is more fitting for them to abstain from the orphans' funds. If poor, they may consume from it in a reasonable manner. If they are working with the orphans' funds, they may take a customary wage. Zakat is obligatory on the wealth of a child, an orphan, and an insane person after one year has passed since the death of the inheritor. A guardian is not permitted to dispose of orphans' wealth except for their overriding benefit, and they should not buy a villa for them if they already have sufficient housing.
