What are the causes of suffering from symptoms such as physical tension, choking, nocturnal vomiting, heart palpitations, seeing darkness in dreams, premature graying of hair, recurrent abdominal and stomach pains, and a feeling of severe distress, especially after the marriage of a close sister? Do these symptoms indicate "possession" that affects marriage despite adherence to the Qur'an?
One should not rush to interpret phenomena as having unseen causes like demonic possession, because this can increase obsessive thoughts and lead to the worsening of the illness. These symptoms might also be a result of anxiety and depression.
It is recommended to calm oneself and increase the remembrance of Allah Almighty, recite the Quran, listen to lessons of knowledge, and keep company with righteous women, while also considering consulting a trustworthy psychiatrist.
Legitimate (Islamic exorcism/incantation) is beneficial in all circumstances, and one should continue performing it.
One must be cautious of consulting soothsayers and diviners who use talismans that may involve seeking assistance from jinn.
