Would they have gotten married if they hadn't met in that wrongful way (through the internet after a friendship that lasted for several years)?

A Muslim must not be impatient concerning sustenance, seeking it through disobedience, for this marriage has already taken place. This means it was destined for them, and Allah Almighty ordains matters through their causes. One should not pose hypothetical questions about whether they would have married if they had not met in this wrong way, because only Allah knows the unseen. Interactions between young men and women via the internet or other means are dangerous and lead to corruption and temptation, and this door must be closed.
