Is a relationship that began with love over the internet and ended in marriage considered invalid and forbidden, and can that affect success after marriage?

A Muslim must avoid doubtful situations. It is not permissible for either gender to establish any relationship outside the framework of marriage. This includes exchanging words of love or messages through social media, whether before or after engagement, because this leads to corruption. A woman is a stranger to her suitor until the marriage contract is concluded, and only ordinary, limited conversation for acquaintance or arranging the marriage is permissible. It is advisable to hasten marriage, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Nothing like marriage is seen for two who love each other." If marriage is delayed, communication and message exchange must cease, and fearing Allah helps in achieving a legitimate marriage.
