What is the ruling on a relationship between a young man and a young woman via the Internet, and what should the young woman do in this case if the young man wishes to get to know her better before marriage, and is it permissible for her to continue this relationship despite his repeated mistakes?

These relationships between young men and women, under the pretext of marriage, are among the devil's insidious ways that can lead to committing indecency. Islam does not recognize such frivolity. Legitimate marital procedures begin with looking at the woman one intends to propose to, then proposing to her guardian. Acquaintance takes place during the engagement period in the presence of family and mahrams, and without seclusion. Sincere repentance is necessary, cutting off the relationship with the young man, and striving in righteous deeds, so that Allah may forgive and replace bad deeds with good ones. If the young man is serious about marriage, let him propose to the girl's guardian, and there is no objection to getting acquainted in the presence of family and mahram.
