What is the ruling on communicating with a young man via the Internet, and what should a girl do if she has become attached to him and fears that he will sever his relationship with her?

A woman should not despair over a delayed marriage, for that is divine decree and destiny, and it may contain a good that she does not perceive, as Allah Almighty says: (And it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows and you do not know). She must cut off any unlawful relationship with men, whether online or otherwise, because such relationships can lead to corruption. If a young man wishes to marry, he should propose to her family.
