Does the fact that I have not completed my engagement to several girls without a clear reason mean that I am afflicted by the evil eye or by sorcery?

We do not have anyone who can determine whether a person is bewitched or afflicted by the evil eye, and all matters are in the hands of Allah. A Muslim should strive for chastity and uprightness, and increase supplication during times when prayers are answered, for what has befallen him may be for a good that only Allah knows, as it is stated: "But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not." And if a person suspects that he is afflicted by magic or the evil eye, he should resort to Ruqyah (definition) Shariah (Islamic exorcism/incantation).
