Is it recommended for men to wear gemstones in Islam? We have not found any text indicating that wearing gemstones is a Sunnah (definition) for men, or that wearing them during prayer multiplies the reward. Rather, it is permissible. Some scholars disliked it due to its resemblance to women or for being extravagant and boastful. There is no evidence that it possesses healing properties, or that it brings good fortune, or protects from devils, magic, or the evil eye. Astrology is forbidden.
