The answer

The : "He whose prayer does not restrain him from indecency and evil, has no prayer" is not authentically attributed to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. However, Allah has clarified that prayer restrains from indecency and evil, by His saying: "Indeed, prayer restrains from indecency and evil." And the prayer that restrains from indecency and evil is the complete prayer that fulfills its conditions, pillars, obligations, and devotion. Therefore, one must strive to perfect the prayer and perform it properly. Beware lest Satan deceive you into abandoning prayer on the pretext that it does not benefit you. The solution is to strive to perfect prayer, to struggle against one's self, to offer sincere repentance, to be mindful of the approaching end, to envision standing before Allah, to sense His watchful eye, and to strive in supplication.
