Is the mother sinful for her shortcomings in worship, given that she is under the influence of magic that has deprived her of her will, and is her lack of response to ruqyah due to a lack of piety?
Persevering in , supplication (du'a), and charity () is recommended for healing. If magic (sihr) or jinn possession (mass) has an effect that prevents the afflicted person from praying or incites them to anger, they are excused, but they must make up the prayers once they recover. The affliction of a servant may be an expiation for their sins or a raising of their ranks. Healing may be delayed for various wisdoms, including: increasing the good deeds of the afflicted and increasing their connection with their Lord. The delay in healing does not signify the weakness of the supplicant or their lack of piety; rather, it is a divine decree. Caution must be exercised against resorting to sorcerers and charlatans.
