Does repeating good words – without spitting, knotting, or polytheistic speech – affect water, and is that considered a form of imbibed sorcery?

Words breathed into water have a positive effect if they are lawful words (Shar'i) and a negative effect if they are polytheistic words (shirkiyyah). There is no harm in lawful Ruqyah (definition) (Islamic incantation) if three conditions are met: that it is performed with the names of Allah, His words, His attributes, or what has been authentically reported from the Messenger; that it is in the Arabic language or a language whose meaning is understood; and that one believes it does not affect by itself but by the decree of Allah. If these conditions are not met, then it is impermissible and considered minor Shirk (definition), and it may lead to major Shirk, which expels one from the fold of Islam. Therefore, one must repent from repeating unlawful words and reading articles that teach magic.
