Is it permissible to say that Allah is sitting on His Throne, and is He in contact with the Throne, and are His feet in contact with the Footstool (Al-Kursī), which is the place for His feet, as interpreted by Ibn Abbas?

The righteous predecessors agreed on affirming God's attributes as they appeared in the Quran and Sunnah (definition), without allegorical interpretation (ta'wil) or anthropomorphism (tashbih). This includes God's "Istawa" (establishment) over the Throne, an establishment befitting His majesty. Its meaning encompasses elevation, highness, ascent, and stability. It is not permissible to use the word "sitting" for Allah Almighty, as it has not been mentioned in the sacred texts, and innovators use it for anthropomorphism and denial (ta'til). As for the issue of God's contact with the Throne, no text has been reported concerning it. This falls under attributes for which there is neither negation nor affirmation in the texts, so they are neither affirmed nor denied. Instead, it is said that God is distinct from His creation, and His being above the Throne does not necessitate Him being in contact or not in contact.
