Does God forgive a person for all their bad deeds, whatever their nature?

The punishment for sins varies according to their type. Shirk (definition) (associating partners with Allah) is the greatest of sins, and Allah will not forgive it if its perpetrator dies upon it. Sins other than shirk are of two types: major and minor. Major sins are expiated only by repentance, while minor sins are expiated by avoiding major sins or by performing good deeds. As for one who dies persistent in sins, their matter is subject to the will of Allah Almighty; if He wills, He will forgive them and admit them to Paradise, and if He wills, He will punish them and then admit them to Paradise.
