The answer

There is no legal impediment to a Muslim being named with any name, as long as it does not contradict Islamic creed or violate Islamic etiquette, such as servitude to other than Allah, or being named with His beautiful names that are exclusive to Him, or names that involve dispraise, licentiousness, or imitation of the names of disbelievers and people of immorality. The aforementioned name "Wasan" is permissible if it carries its linguistic meaning of drowsiness and the beginning of sleep, or if it does not contain anything of what was mentioned. It should be known that a name affects the psychology of its bearer, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, loved good names and was optimistic about them.
