The answer

The kinship between Moses and Muhammad (peace be upon them both) is their common ancestor, Abraham. Moses was from the Children of Israel, son of Isaac, son of Abraham, and Muhammad was from the progeny of Ishmael, son of Abraham. Furthermore, there is a marital relationship between them, as the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) married Safiyya bint Huyayy, who was from the descendants of Aaron, Moses' brother.
